1. What size heated cat house should I choose?

The XL has an approximate interior of 29.1 × 16.9 × 17.3 in and can accommodate around 2–3 adult cats. The XXL measures approximately 33.1 × 17.7 × 17.3 in inside and can accommodate around 3–4 adult cats. Capacity depends on your cats' sizes and whether they are comfortable sharing.

2. Does the heated cat house come with a heating pad?

Yes. Each heated model includes a full-size thermostatically controlled heating pad sized for that shelter. You don't need to buy a separate heating pad.

3. Is the heated outdoor cat house waterproof and insulated?

The PVC-coated exterior helps resist rain and snow, while the insulated foil lining and elevated metal base help reduce exposure to cold and damp surfaces. For best results, place the shelter in a protected location such as a covered porch, garage, or barn.

4. Why does the cat house have two exits?

The front entrance provides everyday access, while the magnetic side escape door offers another way out. The clear viewing window helps cats see their surroundings from inside the shelter.

Heating & Safety

5. How does the thermostatic heating pad work?

The included pad uses thermostatic temperature control to provide warmth inside the shelter. It has no separate on/off switch; unplug it to switch it off. Refer to the included instructions for operating temperatures and guidance.

6. Can I leave the heating pad plugged in overnight?

Follow the operating-time and supervision guidance included with your specific heating pad. Do not assume it is approved for unattended 24/7 operation unless the instructions explicitly say so. Keep electrical connections dry and inspect the cord regularly.

7. Is the heating pad waterproof, and can I add blankets or straw?

The heating pad is water-resistant but should not be submerged or exposed to standing water. Do not place blankets, towels, straw, or other bedding directly over the pad unless the instructions specifically allow it.

8. How do I set up and clean the heated cat house?

The shelter uses hook-and-loop fasteners and a supported metal base for convenient assembly. Before cleaning, unplug the heating pad. Wipe suitable shelter surfaces with a damp cloth and let them dry completely. Follow the heating pad's care instructions separately.
